First Night Success
The first league game of the db Poker League was held at the Rhyl Rugby Club (formerly a Nuts Poker League Venue) and the change of association was a great success. With an above average attendance even with a few regulars missing it is a promising start to the new league.
The dubious honour of being the first to be eliminated at the first dbPoker event was Ant 'River' Mason.
Whilst the final table was made up of regulars from the 'old' league it was good to see a new member, James Garland, finishing in a creditable 3rd place.
Steve 'Toast' Bennett was edged out in an even matched final hand by Barry Knapper who takes the honour of winning the first dbPoker event.
Best placed of the ladies was Debbie 'Destiny' Tomlinson who finished in 8th place when her A9 suited was beat by 56 o/s on the river.
